PMR
(Patient Medical Record)
HOSP IT
is a hospital information system designed for
patient care. The PMR is the
central repository for all clinical related documentation,
combining each patient's medical history into
a single medical record, in a continuum from any
terminal in the system the PMR
provides the necessary tools for physicians to
complete all procedures and administrative tasks
associated to patient visits. The module allows
seeing medical examinations, diagnoses, treatment
history and test results and medication history,
as well as nursing notes.
The PMR also has comprehensive
medical reporting tools and online ordering capabilities
to order prescriptions, lab tests and radiological
exams. Test results are delivered electronically,
eliminating lengthy waits associated to manual
delivery systems. Clinical decision support throughout
medication order process ensures automatic drug
to drug interaction checking against every prescription.
Online ordering of all clinical exams from the
point of care allows health professionals to order
tests quickly and
efficiently.
Integration to a COE (Computer
Order Entry) for pharmacy orders to provide physicians
access to comprehensive drug information and assist
them in making the best decision while ordering
medication online.
Physician credentializing includes HR
info as well as certification and individual performance
record. It ensures the confidentiality and security
of the data as well as proper access to the organization
functions.
Clinical alerts can be actibated to warn from
drug
incompatibility – allergies,
drug - drug contraindication, etc.
Standardized codification of diagnoses (ICD)
and procedures (CPT) are included
throughout the process.
Graphically represented charts for vital signs,
liquids control, lab results and monitoring procedures.
Full records of all users who have accessed, updated
or seen a patient record with date/time and location
tags.
